Michael Borkowski

After graduating with a Bachelor of Business Degree in Finance from Loyola University of Chicago in 1986, Michael started in real estate as a Commercial Lender in 1987 and became an Illinois Real Estate Sales Licensee in 1988. Since that time, he’s also been a Mortgage Underwriter, Loan Officer and has owned a mortgage company with several offices in Chicago, Illinois and Miami, Florida areas until he sold his company in early 2007, just before the 2008 financial crisis. Shortly after that, in 2007, Michael also obtained his Florida Real Estate Sales License and since then has been involved in the sale of both Residential Real Estate and Residential Real Estate Partial Ownership Options for Illinois and Florida properties, as well as actively brokering commercial real estate and business financing.

As a result of selling and funding hundreds of millions of dollars of real estate during his career, Michael is expertly experienced in negotiation skills and techniques, as well as well-versed in financing underwriting requirements and mortgage programs that are available. Michael offers his extensive experience in lending to help guide his buyer clients in what they should expect as they seek financing and also to protect his seller clients from accepting offers from buyers that may not be qualified to obtain the necessary financing with which to purchase their properties.
